Stolen from Bristol Fleece & Firkin 17th January 2008
Stone Gods had 2 instruments stolen from Bristol Fleece and Firkin on 17th January. The first is a black Gibson Explorer serial number 00652369, instrument is in a black case with a Gibson logo and also contains a leather guitar strap with a Sennheiser wireless beltpack attached. Also taken is a blue Hohner acoustic guitar in a black plastic Hiscox case. The thief has been caught on the venue CCTV footage but no action will be taken if the instruments are returned to the venue intact. I never got my DJ equipment, but paid $300.00 for it!!!
Over the summer I met DJ Spankalicious or DJ Spank, as he is also known. This was at Johnny's Pourhouse in Warrensburg, Missouri. I am a trusting soul and have a slight mental illness and was taken advantage of and am upset... to say the least. He sent me down the "primrose path", telling me how he was interested in helping me learn to DJ and that he worked at "Musician's Friend" and could get me a great discount on DJ equipment. I told him how I was into DJ Shadow and UNKLE and wanted to make music like that. He was "totally down with that". I trusted him and gavwe him the three hundred dollars for the DJ equipment I was missing (still am). He then disappeared a couple of weeks later. That was the summer. Then in early fall he showed up again at the same venue, "Johnny's Pourhouse" and told me he'd have the equipment for me the next week. I went back with a friend and he told me that he would give me his girlfriend's cell phone number, because "he lost his". I went back the next week and he gave me the bag with "the equipment" in side of it. When opened I found out the the stylus didn't even have a functioning needle in it. He told me after I went back furious that he had the equipment, but his friend (who was with him) "had left it at home in the other bag". I made up a contract that I had him sign, but the next week when I was supposed to collect on the equipment or take it to the police... I had some medicine that was adverse and was too sick to collect. I found out he's not there... once again. I would like someone to help me get this guy and get my stuff. I can not offer much. I do not have a job yet, because I graduated and am in another town. As soon as I get a job I believe I can offer $20.00 dollars American. I know it's not much and I really would like to offer more, because I think this is a great cause, but the money's not there. `85 Squier Strat was stolen on Wed. November 12st in the Kensington neighborhood of Liverpool, UK
Strat is aged & slightly worn & weatherchecked vintage white with a hand back-painted multicolor pickguard that is mostly blue-ish. It has a new white F-spaced Dimarzio PAF humbucker angle mounted in the bridge position & two aged white single coils in the middle & neck positions. There's a textured green shamrock decal on the upper body horn & a faded "cherry bomb" decal on the upper back & no backplate. It has a hand scalloped maple neck with no finish on fingerboard or back of the neck. Rare 1979 Ibanez Iceman .Stolen from my recording studio , Leamington Spa . U.K. around April 7th 2007
My beloved , rare Ibanez Iceman , 1979 vintage was stolen from my recording studio/rehearsal rooms in Leamington Spa , along with my Yamaha RBX 4 string bass, green , gold fittings , and two other guitars , an acoustic , cheap one , and a fretless bass , pink fender squire body/fretless neck. It is the Iceman that i am really worried about . I've had it for 26 years, so has immense personal value. I'd know this guitar anywhere , the back is quite buckle scratched and it has a chip in the laquer down to the wood around the jack socket . It is in the rarer mahogany sunburst , has the original flying lady pick-ups , and has a black toggle switch , usually they were cream , but i replaced it recently. It went complete with its fitted case which has grey pile lining. Unfortunately i never wrote down the serial number.............idiot ! But as i say , i'd know this guitar anywhere , so please , if anyone has any info i would be most grateful . I'm not a wealthy guy , so i cannot put up a great deal of reward , just my eternal gratitude. Looks pretty much like a normal Tele, but: CREAM WHITE body (mahogany/maple, laid up like a Les Paul), FLAME MAPLE neck, EBONY fingerboard. Very heavy, lots of scars; we were together through thick & thin... Floyd Rose trem (I know... sorry...) Control plate backwards. Thin Rails P/U in mid-position. It was a black Mexican Fender Stratocaster. I got a black pickguard for it so it appeared all black. I thought "why not?" at the time. Well I had earlier finished a performance of sorts at my school. Having left it on stage along with the rest of the equipment from other performers, I found my Fender case after school empty with only the pick remaining. Anyways, I miss it. Stolen in Denver in 1995, still not recovered.
Plank "Nilsson" Semi acoustic guitar belonging to Ed O'Brien from radiohead. This guitar was hand built for Ed in 1994 and was stolen on US tour in 1995 along with other radiohead equipment. We would be grateful if anyone sees the guitar to let us know, it is the same colour and almost identical to the one pictured except that it has just one f hole and Plank / Nilsson on the headstock.
